West Star Radio: great music on a great radio station!

Electronic Music of Brainvoyager - West Star Logo

It was July 2015 that West Star Radio discovered me on Twitter. DJ Struth Mate of West Star Radio asked me if I would like my music to be aired in his weekly show on Wednesday on their station. I said “yes” to him. And now, after a month, my music has been on West Star Radio three times and I was given the opportunity to do an interview with DJ Struth Mate in his show on 26 August 2015.

West Star Radio’s aim is to be a top website for band and entertainment promotion. They have a number of activities for their visitors to keep them busy and entertained, no matter if they are a band, a solo artist or just browsing. There will be certainly something for everyone. West Star Radio has been going since 2012 and is based in Romsley, West Midlands, UK.

West Star Radio is a voluntary organization and takes no profit from its services. Any donations made are put straight back into West Star Radio.

Electronic Fusion

West Star Radio does not limit itself to a certain music genre, therefore the radio shows of West Star Radio are versatile. In August 2015 West Star Radio asked me if I would like to become a member of the West Star team and if I would like to do a weekly radio show. I said “yes” again and we agreed upon me doing a weekly show dedicated solely to electronic music. And that’s how West Star Radio’s brand new show “Electronic Fusion” was born. Every Friday evening from 8pm-10pm UK time, I present “Electronic Fusion”.

Becoming member of the West Star Team

I became a member of the West Star team. Hence, from now on I will refer to the team as ‘we’ or ‘us’, and to the West Star website and services as ‘our’ website and ‘our’ services.

You are met with a warm welcome every time you visit us on our website. We also pride ourselves on a friendly environment for all ages.

The West Star Team

DJ Stuy: My real name is Stuart Russell. I am the Owner and Chef Web designer of West Star Radio. I am a self-taught designer and have been creating websites for about 10 years.

When I am not making websites and DJ-ing, I am at home looking after my family. The shows I currently do is the “Say it with Cheese”, which normally schedules on a Monday night from 9pm, all dependant on the demand of website.

My other hobbies are football and music. The team I support is Southampton FC. I also love music and produce my own material. The material I create is dance and electronica music and I was successful with one track which is called “Atom Bomb”. You can purchase my music by clicking onto the store page on the West Star radio website.

DJ Brainvoyager: My real name is Jos Verboven, but artistically I go by Brainvoyager. I’m a Dutch creator of cosmic and ambient electronic music and I’m living in The Netherlands. Spelled as ‘Brain Voyager’, this name appeared in 1985 as album title of the 7th album from Robert Schroeder, a German electronic musician. This name covers exactly what my music stands for: a voyage within the listener’s brain, thus turning him or her into a real brain voyager. My music is best described as a mixture of contemporary rhythms and hypnotic electronic ambiences.

Electronic music has been a big musical passion for me for almost 36 years, however, the first 33 years were spent as a listener. My biggest influences come from Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, Robert Schroeder & Steve Roach.

On West Star Radio I host my weekly show Electronic Fusion, which is solely dedicated to electronic music of various styles.
